Rumination

Rumination

Rumination

My keen mind’s eye marvels

Upon sharp spectrum colours

Like stars sparkling through

A coating of morning’s dew

And hung like crystal pendants

Catching dawn’s first light

On a spider’s new fishing net

Weaved for anticipated quarry

Thus displays a symbolic duality

Exquisitely apt framed portrait

A soon to be captive moment

Of predator devouring prey

It metaphorically reminds me

Of nature's manner of taking

And giving back life to earth

In a sacredly elysian universe

The infinite existence of energy

Has no continuance or equilibrium

Unless something is sacrificed

To bring new existence elsewhere

Even time appears to quicken

As the aging process goes on

Especially if more has passed by

Then even a future can unfold

Deep rumination of thinking

Have drawn a possible conclusion

A forfeiture of my chaos lifestyle

May sow seeds for personal peace

I like the tone and complexity of this piece. Now, in the spirit of said rumination, might I suggest a little tweak in grammar. Generally this very thoughtful piece might merit some well placed punctuation. But, of course, there are reasons we sometimes choose not to punctuate. Feel free to ruminate, chew, discard my suggestions

An exquisitely apt framed portrait -
A soon to be captive moment,
Of predator devouring prey...

Thank you for your kind review Jimmy - :-)
Aye, time never stops when we want it to..I so relate to this piece. Deep ruminations indeed. I think it's an on going process though, of balancing life between order and chaos...
Nicely penned. :)
