Sam ‘n’ Ella’s CafeA Poem by Phill Oz O'feeJust a bit of fun ... :-)Sam ‘n’ Ella’s Cafe A local neighbourhood committee Sent cruel complaint letters around To remove a vivid pulsating neon sign And take ‘Sam ‘n’ Ella’s Cafe’ down As promoting a bacterial disease That affects the intestinal tract Was distasteful in their town centre And may give visitors a panic attack The menu was also harshly targeted Green colour added to scrambled eggs And described as snot on burnt toast Served with thin pasta daddy-long-legs Looking closely at their drink listings It was incredible believing was there A cocktail mix named pig sty broth A milkshake of dark cocoa and pear But this was a student’s hangout And they loved the quirky place Most had parents on the council So said petitioners lost their case Copyright @ Phillozofee 2018 © 2018 Phill Oz O'feeAuthor's Note
