it says: if you need to character-assassinate someone then just make other people aware that they have conversations "behind the scenes." it's invokes in someone the question "what are they saying with someone else?" the chaos it creates is the perception that they're not to be trusted because they talk to someone else. and it's a very effective technique. it can be done to anyone. you could literally do this to any person on the planet. "oh you talk to jennifer? yeah? what'd you say? yeah? screw you?!" lol did you hear what trump just said to putin? i didn't. what's my sister whispering to my dad? did so-and-so just shake hands with a drug dealer? did topher just talk to the new kid? did my friend just talk to someone i don't trust?????????

Chatter and banter when meant to discredit a person with integrity just for the sake of malice, will find a way to defuse the aggressor. That is my belief. Good use of alliteration Phil.
