![]() Gaea’s ReassuranceA Poem by Phill Oz O'fee![]() Gaea is the personification of the Earth and one of the Greek primordial deities![]() Gaea’s Reassurance ![]() Inshore sprinting sea spray froth Splashed high in cresting waves Rhythmically danced tidal timeless Across rocky ancient ragged shingle
I could taste the zephyr’s saltiness When I ran my tongue across dry lips And shivered slightly feeling it swirl Around my oneness countenance
In sheer cliff cities Guillemot couples Prepare formal garb of winter plumage Showing off their bright red leggings And burnishing proudly boot black bills
Delicate unrestrained long grasses Each side of the way-marked path Motioned constantly to move along Least I miss the next natural surprise
Rambling solitude brings equanimity Acknowledged by nature’s whispers Creation’s glory privately personified With soft bursts of birdsong euphony
My spirit imbued with wild flora scents And rejuvenating sights and sounds Permeates an assurance of concord Between myself and this fragile Earth
