LearningA Poem by Phill Oz O'feeWe never stop ….Learning As the setting sun gently kissed The distant horizon rim goodnight Its fiery coattails were reflected Across the stratus shredded sky In a myriad of orangey splendour
I could feel the warmth of the day Dissipate away by a mild stroking Of cool night finger flowing breezes Sending subtle shivers through me And began a honing of my psyche
Casting distracted eyes upward I could not help but contemplate That my journeys over past years Most probably on a predestined path Will turn out longer than my future
And as I cannot erase what’s been Dwelling on self faults seems fruitless Thus best to study from life’s lessons And change conduits of my manner To hopefully build a better character
Glancing at collected material chattels I wonder if these are really needed For cherished recollections in my heart Are more priceless than worldly offers And provide comfort to a sensitive soul
The firmament now unwraps clearly Gratis awesome within infinite heavens And viewed with non-judgmental sight Brings about my greatest imaginations Sharing new potentials with the reader
Relying on family and friends for help I have found immunity from loneliness They fill a void created within mindset Of inert nature and frequent insecurity Giving me an inner strength to survive
