Cerebral Confusion Conflicts

Cerebral Confusion Conflicts

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

My head hurts ……….

"

Cerebral Confusion Conflicts

Rainbow rippling reflections sparkle

Athwart grubby paddling puddle psyche

Tiny prisms refracting sunburst notions

From thought waves splintering brightly

I sometimes find myself at dead ends

In this journey for life’s elusive reward

A seemingly self vexation of faulty character

From striving struggles tossed overboard

In my mind a neon tube graffiti message

Strobes flash furiously ‘Is This All There Is’

Like a petulant reproach of finger waving

Urging to take stock and personality quiz

Time to re-examine what is my wisdom

And to test all accumulated knowledge

For if more a hindrance than an assistance

Better it then they should be demolished

Or perhaps a conciliation blend of persona

To end these cerebral confusion conflicts

Purging previous negative obscure idioms

Replacing with fresh wall of cognitive bricks

So if you see a faltering in this commission

And are moved to support my endeavours

Be assured a welcoming your assistance

And my sincere deepest friendship forever

whoa those words surely make a person think that sometimes we have to stop for a moment and think of nothing not because the head hurts but rather let the brain take a break from the cognitive angle and concentrate a little bit on the affective domain

The grey matter is working overtime on this one Phill. Great read. And interesting perspective.

I can relate to this poem now esp because I am going through the same phase...i think..and i think again but there is no end to it.
Anyhow, good write. I like the usage of certain words and phrases.

Keep up!

Hi Phil. your poem suggests to me a fellow with much confusion about the mind. The trouble with the average person is that our minds go on thinking and thinking and never stopping. I know this feeling from times many years ago, What we need to do is to slow down the thoughts and look within. This cured me of PTSD caused through my service in Vietnam. I cured myself with meditation and self enquiry. My life. now is filled with peace and joy. Hey, man I really enjoyed the read, and I love your picture. All the best, my friend....Peter

So is also this blistering hot weather giving you brain ache Phill? I wonder what inspired this poem? It certainly isn't easy to concentrate unless you are fortunate enough to have air conditioning, which many of us don't have in the UK. I enjoyed your poem, and can understand that feeling of having brain overload with too much rubbish and relishing the thought of a clearout. Your work is always a pleasure to read.

Absolutely love your posted image.
