Seeds

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

We reap what we sow ……..

"

Seeds

What grows within life’s virgin garden

Is dependent on the seeds we sow

Seeds of doubt bring thorns of turbulence

And tangling weeds of upsetting hesitation

Seeds of hate grow into roots of terror

Spreading undermining poisonous vines

Seeds of anger spring up in wild rages

Destroying goodness in ambiguous ways

Seeds of knowledge need astute cultivation

For fruits can be a sweet or soured crop

Seeds of anticipation which positively planted

Bring a sense of future fantasies to flourish

Seeds of joy can blossom to great gladness

Covering fertile fields with fresh delights

And the greatest yield above all in our garden

Is to propagate divine seeds of avid love

We all have seeds to sow. Some land on fertile ground and blossom and grow into delights to enjoy for years to come. Some seeds land on barren ground...wither and die.
And yet even weeds can have pretty flowers but you don't want them in your garden.
This is a good way of describing the choices we make.

A good write Phil.

A beautiful flower can bloom from the same seeds as an ugly flower. It’s all a matter of which one will grow. Your intentions have a powerful impact on those you affect. Your garden is your community and if you treat that community with disrespect, you can very well have a garden full of ugly flowers that were once promising and beautiful flowers. Never forget how to create a life inside a moment, and use that for good.

Thank you for your insightful comments - :-)
even if we plant seeds and then don't bother about them they will not grow...
i guess planting seeds is always not enough.... they need to be watered...
loved and cared for.... isn't it... with all that they will bloom into what we desire...
seeds of love will only give fruits of love if they are given that same care...throughout...
just my thoughts after reading your wonderful poem.. :)

Thank for such a kind review … :-)
Such fine writing!
That is faith of a kind.. a harvesting of the best for the best possible outcome. As a 'resting' garden designer and as a bit of a thinker, would wholeheartedly agree (whether negative or positive) with each facet you list to reach a deeply felt zenith. Love is perfection in the right hands, don't you think.

Thank you for your kind review my friend … :-)
You are so right Phill, for every seed, there is a season and an outcome. This poem beautifully and lyrically expresses how some seeds produce good crops while others produce no or tainted crops. The wisdom of your eloquent couplets show us that as caretakers of this earth, we must be ever-mindful and assume responsibility for those seeds we sow. Your last two lines are so important- we must plant seeds of love wherever we step. Great poem and lesson.

Great explanation of humans and life and growing. From those tiny seeds. And in turn which path you might or will turn and follow if you're not careful. And choose wisely which to lead and follow in life.

oh yes the seeds of love need to be abundant in every garden of life; the other good thing about them is that they spread like wildfire once sown ☼
