Fashionable pain?

Just overheard her complain

'F**king high heel shoes!'

Great image. Fabulous shoes, but I ask myself, would I put up with the agony of wearing them? Not now, but hey when I was younger, yep I would have been there, blisters on my feet and all. Moaning and complaining but not doing anything about it. But then on the other hand, or should I say other foot, they look marvellous, don't they? Expletives? Yep I might have used those too.

'Speaking' as one who detests heels - this actually made me grin. For me, bare feet, loafers, an occasional trainer or two.. walking boots - bootiful! That would lead me to anything tight that restricts the body... except arms of course. Nuff said. You've somehow managed to lift my spirits.. thank you! 11.23

Can relate- when feet are not comfortable doesn’t matter what height and what attire- off they must go- what we do for beauty- beauty is painful but worth it at times...well written🌹

Laughing here. When I was younger I did wear those high heels and now my feet are still screaming because of it. So much said in just a few lines. I liked it. The photo is priceless. Lydi**

Stirring memories - I am happy my write has triggered thoughts - thanks for reviewing my friend :-)
As the youngest of six sisters, I saw my sisters’ feet become gnarled with corns & painfully bent big toes that never straightened out. Fortunately I grew up in the age of Birkenstocks, so my feet spread out wide & comfy! *wink! wink!* Nice spoof on a dumb & painful fashion statement! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks for the insightful review - Hugs right back at you *****
Haa!!! I cannot for the life of me see how they can walk in those shoes. Tried it once for a charity event where I had to dress in drag...I was just waiting to break a hip or blow out a knee, I lasted 20 minutes. Never mind about the charity drag event...I looked like a lumberjack in a negligee.

Heels somehow never got on my list... not those pointed ones... I feel I mite twist my ankle so I stay away from those...manage with reasonable walkable ones :)
My feet is always thankful for that.... :))
