Moon Madness

Moon Madness

Moon Madness

I sense a gravitational astral pull

Effecting the oceans of my mind

Tidal ebb and flowing new emotions

Dualities of reality into imaginations

Drift in this sea of floating flotsam

As specks of inspired solar madness

These lunar cycles delicately dictate

All aspects of my character’s behaviour

As genteel grains upon on sandy shore

Sand specks explode with motivations

Whilst standing solitude blissfully basking

In Selene’s shimmering soft illumination

Perhaps this feeling of stellar insanity

Masks a moonbeam key to my creativities

To be embraced and poetically recorded

I always find that I am at my most creative while there is a full moon. Maybe I've got a touch of the witch in me (although I don't have a broomstick). Your posted image is spectacular and I am without doubt a regular moon gazer. Your choice of language is impressive and your poem equally impressive. Thank you

Chris

Spoken as a true moon child . . . or at least TO one (me). You describe the moon like nobody else I’ve seen & originality is the best part of good writing. Your verbs are dynamic & your wordplay brings out sounds such as alliteration & more. Excellent moon artwork & everything conjures up all the fascination I feel as I follow the phases. There can never be too many moon poems with so many unique approaches by the many excellent writers here! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Oh wow, you hit it on the head I think. No sleep, cranky and weird, but can write like a dream on these nights. The moon is such a great tool for poetry, it evokes some very strong emotional content and this is no exception. Great stuff.

The lunar cycles delicate dictation of your character's behaviour is positive and highly productive. está é nada mais do que a magia de lua! ( Are you a moon Child as well?) it's a wonderful privilege to have such connection to the celestial body!

There's little to better moon-walking - day or night, especially wrapped in such simmering thought:
' Dualities of reality into imaginations - Drift in this sea .. '

Your final stanza could be the heart of a possible tome!
