Brinkmanship

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee

Russian state-owned television is urging the country’s residents to stock their bunkers with water and basic foodstuffs because Moscow could go to war with Washington.

Brinkmanship

Humanity's fate

Held In the hands of mad men

Let us plead for peace

I'm so freakin' sick of this. Our lives are hijacked as we wait anxiously to see how much closer each day brings us to vindication or subversive objectification *sheesh!* I think you might mean humanity's for the first word . . . Fondly, Margie

Thank you Margie - :-) & you are right about humanity's - will correct now!
two very big egos confronting each other here...one thinks he can murder at will with chemical weapons , the other bombarding the threat without any thought of repercussions....it is frightening :(
Peace in our time.... I don't think so sadly .

Great haiku Great concept. The syrian strikes of the 13, was the closest we have been to ww3. Crazy how two people can decide the fate for everyone. Also Russia does drills and seems to warn its populace constantly about war. Putin had said three times that if Hillary won we would be going to war, In my personal opinion I don't think we will have another ww3. Possible but unlikely.

Yes, The ultimate prayer now. Timely, perfect senryu for a more and more imperfect world. Flashback of Bay of Pigs and hiding under school desks. Prayerfully, this too shall pass. Thank you for this Phill.

Now it feels the same again - A tyrant atrocities they get away with "No it not us - we don't use chemical weapons - its the underground bods who do it
The picture are fake all actors with make up on trying to make us look bad
The bodies of the dead lay under rubble - they are dummies they place then knock down the buildings - to make us look bad

The world need a plan to stop people like them _ its the top men need replacing
