Is it just me?

Is it just me?

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Looking around ..........

"

Is it just me?

In my daft daily dizzy doubting

I am quietly quiz questioning

Limitless lunatic observations

In a fickle found frenzied world

In a comfy corner vapour lounge

A coughing chorus can be heard

As punters puff perfumed plumes

On plastic piccolo shaped sticks

Came across an Art academy class

Teaching students’ sensory studies

Sporting virtual reality visors sets

Just standing weirdly waving arms

Articles on Damascus dress design

Pictured glitzy glamorous arcades

Yet twenty treacherous minutes drive

Finds war’s civilian children casualties

Is it just me meaninglessly moaning

Or has institutional insanity increased

In a grossly governed globe gyrating

Around polluted power hungry politicians

Well politicians do have great control it’s all financial domination and computers ruling- that’s not a topic for me as I don’t take part in it- what wonderful layout of words and really stimulates the mind- loved the words- just great🌹

Finally! One of the best political statements I've heard in two years. There's so much noise & blathering & righteous indignation being expressed on every wavelength (much deserved of course) . . . but it's become mind-numbing & now I need someone to express this persnickety stretch of unreality in expressions much different than the typical constant din that goes on & on & on. Here you've said something that touches how we are feeling on the inside, without opinions stated about all this crazy-making on the outside. Your wordplay is exquisitely-crafted & your choice of details is startlingly original & specific & relatable (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you soooo much for your review - feeling humbled, but warmed throughout ... :-)
I love the alliteration in this poem, and no it isn't just you. All around us daily we can see the damage that politicians do and that is why it is great when they make assumptions and then get a kick in the teeth from voters. Sometimes I just have to turn off, otherwise I would lose my sanity. This is an intersting topic, thought provoking and very well written. Thank you.
