Gone Astray

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Self-perception: the idea that you have about the kind of person you are!

"

Gone Astray

Who is this I see

The mirror frames a stranger

Of my own making

well worth the read and subsequent pondering time - I was listening to a podcast recently - they were talking about Kundalini Yoga - in particular, the pineal gland. Apparently in the pineal glad are traces of the same thing that activated LSD- so activating your pineal glad regularly can give a mild LSD effect and if you have taken LSD you will know that it breaks down the perception of the self you see as the person in the world. Helps you to see things as they really are ...

Great words - cheers X

Now, that's a thought worth pondering. Long have I thought about who we are and what factors shape us. Environment, nurturing, genetics--it's really complicated.

Always be a friend to the one you see in mirror...otherwise it can turn into horror ;)

it is tough when we look into the mirror, have introspection...and don't recognize the person we have become...how and when did we lose ourselves...?

Things go out of hand when we get out of touch with ourselves mostly through wrong choices in life. Appreciated very much.

Yeah when we look in a mirror some of us don't like what we see looking back.. I fit into that category myself, I have a bad self perception of who I see looking back at me.. Thank you for sharing

It's certainly bad enough when a person is forced to make such a shocking admission, even worse when the observer does not yet perceive that a stranger stares back.
Outstanding senryu!
