Mushroom HoppingA Poem by Phill Oz O'feeAn Elf's life ...........?Mushroom Hopping Hazel Nutt was a bronze skinned forest elf With sinuous raven dark tasselled locks Her pulsing veins flowed high adventure Woodland skilled dextrous and sly as a fox
There was nothing she liked doing better Showing off to the tongue panting lads Scantly scrambling across liana entangles Then mushroom hopping her favourite fad
Rowan T Rees was her greatest admirer Would blush bright red when ‘Haz’ said hello Under polished hat of cupule he’s wishing ‘I’d love to get her to share the same pillow’
Escapade was the elves order of business No ends to their afforest exploring pleasures Every season a glorious inventive journey
