Parallel Paradox

Parallel Paradox

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

A paradox is a statement that, despite apparently sound reasoning from true premises, leads to a self-contradictory unacceptable conclusion.

"

Parallel Paradox

Arguments abound both true and false

Amongst eccentric politicians and academics

In pondering the hypothesis of co-existence

Of suggesting contrary parallel polar populations

They might just believe in science fiction

But I can provide actual facts that are genuine

And I don’t need complicated statistical records

To illustrate existent of this reality today

We authentically live a world of two halves

One side coveting gluttony ill gained assets

Never considering beyond their indulgences

Shared by only the few believing in self wealth

Obverse is another world of living shadows

In dark domes of ever present suppression

They endeavour to survive the best as they can

Whilst perceiving how the affluent side live

Inequality existing side by side to be seen

A legacy of civilization’s lost broken dreams

It’s time we should start to break and bind

This paradox of humankind’s ruinous making

and there is more inequality now than ever....very little, if any, middle class....the rich keep getting richer, and the poor just keep getting poorer...

and they live right next to each other....especially in the bigger cities...

Your picture looks so alien and non-human- how can we live like that! Layers on layers and steps on steps and boxes on boxes. Yes a paradox fom Hell, I'd say...the 'haves and have nots'of the world separated into "parallel polar populations" by some mad scientists- frightening! "Break and bind" -yes! Kudos!
