brevity told of a lengthy story otherwise of inhumanities n suffering here. Highlighted is your anger n pain perhaps to the hatred of this world, its rejecting ways. Why then immortality, you say? Feelings experienced by one n all n yet your ending shows a brave decision to let go of immortality in this context. Hoping for peace, praying, looking, calling for peace n happiness of the soul, I hear your deep cry. Good idea n concept. Lovely.

Another point of view is that immortality would put you above such typical pettiness; making you a kind of "untouchable." After all, what do the sins and rantings of mere temporal beings have to do with exalted workings of the eternal?
