Unspoiled Encounter

Unspoiled Encounter

Unspoiled Encounter

The scraunch of shoreline shingle underfoot

Appeared cadencing to every lapping wave

And from each one intake of fresh salty zephyr

A consciousness of unparalleled beauty grew

Seagulls caws sing songs of nautical adventure

Their distinctive contours agleam chromatic sky

Intrinsic winged lineaments restlessly soaring

Oceanic airways from here to yonder shores

Tide pools of uniquely adaptable creatures

Engage exigent attention to be perceived

As individualistic breathtaking micro worlds

Encapsulating life cycles in a rock concave

Delirious indigenous flora polka dot a habitat

Jocund blue sea holly dance with mauve asters

Amongst rare spider and luscious lizard orchids

Enkindle new vitality to this solitary soul

An assemblage all theses perceived visions

Prompts remembrance of a placement in time

When first I saw you reflectively daydreaming

The perfect end to my beach boundary stroll

Overall, this is brilliantly & imaginatively written. There's a great balance between "cerebral" (as conjured up by your abundance of complex words) & imagery (to appeal to all the senses). Notice how stanza 3 is more "cerebral" with descriptions that make the reader think. Then compare that to stanza 4, which is more cloaked in imagery and the reader feels this more than thinking about it. Just something to pay attention to, since your obvious love of vocabulary might sometimes get you too far into the "cerebral" mode (I have this same issue myself).

Just brilliant! You are a WordMeister my friend. I bow to your eloquence in describing this surreal landscape- image astounds. The third verse so primordial and stellar. Love this to pieces. Master-Class, masterfully done!

"Delirious indigenous flora polka dot a habitat"

Brilliant. This perfectly describes a shoreline like the picture that accompanies this poem. You are a talented poet and all should aspire to such heights as this piece reaches.
