The Four Chambers

The Four Chambers

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

The heart is more than a muscular organ in us which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system.

"

The Four Chambers

In the left entrance hall I saw care

Blowing on elation sails of love

On the right a collection point

Gathering essences recharged

Down below in separate spaces

Two pulsing pumping stations

Sending forth a fuel of life

On a circular complex system

Adorning the walls hang paintings

Depicting a centre of emotional life

And images of sincerest feelings

In various poses of exposed belief

The fuel’s components are elaborate

With dashes of spiritual fondness

Mixing affectionate warmth and love

Supporting a totally unique creation

Such a cleverness of words. Looks to be serious stuff.. somewhat culinary in fact. But, your words slowly opened with anatomical correctness then, slowly, slowly warmed to more biological endearments , ending with that final 'unique' line.

This unusual piece gets more metaphorical as it goes along and the last verse is such a beautiful culmination of the others and so... so lovely .
