The StrangerA Poem by Phill Oz O'feeStranger (noun) - a person whom one does not know or with whom one is not familiar. The Stranger Caught a glimpse of someone I thought was past remembered Primordial recollections flooded back In a blurred, off guarded moment Didn’t like that character then Who, oblivious of their shortfall Made foolish erroneous choices Whilst blissfully absorbed in self denials Harsh realities of truth and consequences Ultimately broke this cycle of negativities And down with an almighty crash An ego finally broke and firmly fixed An endeavour at change and restoration Overtime, rewarded with forgiveness And, the stranger I saw in the mirror Vanished and was vanquished for ever
