Amour-propre

Amour-propre

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Note: Amour-propre is an unnatural form of self-love that arose only with the appearance of society and individuals' consequent ability to compare themselves with one another.

"

Amour-propre

Multiply

psychological abnormalities

Dominate

this planet's political headships

Obsessional

and unnatural self-love

Propelling

ungoverned impulses

Parading

disfigured palpable absurdities

Onto

the delusional pneuma

Of

many lost to false persuasion

Twisted

controlled verisimilitudes

Utilised

for egotistical gluttony

Devoured

by a few world leaders

Time

unvarnished truth resurrects

Resistance

to falsehood doctrines

Key

to saving normal society

Before

all humanity is lost

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Phillosopher 1712-1778) suggested that amour-propre was subject to corruption, thereby causing vice and misery.

~ this piece is a very complex and poetic description of what i otherwise know as Narcissistic Personality Disorder... cult leaders or political leaders with a cult following typically suffer from it... and yes, it causes all sorts of anomalies in social/political equations...

Encore! All truth and brilliantly penned. Still over my head, in some places, but there's a whole audience out there that can do smarter words and works and are in need of convincing. Keep it up! I.I.
