Cui bono

Cui bono

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Latin adage that is used either to suggest a hidden motive or to indicate that the party responsible for something may not be who it appears at first to be. Ques.; Do you trust the people in charge?

"

Cui bono

With intellectual misdirected words

They turn transparency and truth

Into a spoiled broth of putrid consommé

En route for their loveless selfish world

Spoon feeding its evil into our children’s’ dreams

Subliminally sowing malevolence seeds

Through multi-media programmed atrocities

Law-making manipulators strategically placed

Within the halls of governmental power

Churn out unchallenged controlling counsel

A solitary way to impede this moral decay

Is in elevating populous consciousness

Through coordinated societal remonstration

Exposing secreted authentic intentions

Questioning, whose interests do they really support

Most would rather ignore what they can not change, accept the things they can not rail against, right or wrong it is the human reaction to the seemingly impossible to change. I like what you have done here, you gave your voice against the howl of wind for whatever it is worth, you stood for it. I appreciate.

Great piece! from out of "Italian" I can perfectly understand the latin "Cui bono" A perfect Satire here, and an even greater blast, for what those "bigwigs" stand for.

I have a clue that it's about politics, in your country, and you are totally disgusted by them/it, well if so, your female neighbor can shake your hand, for here is not much better.

I enjoyed your rebelish tongue.
And great voca!
Thank you.
