Indian Silk

Indian Silk

A Poem by Phillip Wolke
"

This poem is a dedication to one of my favorite genres of music, the Indian raga. It's traditional and beautiful, it calls to you to approach...

"

Did you miss me my friend, your song tells tales that never end.

I don't know that I can resist the Indian silk dancing past like the air passes in wisps.

You approach and I lose my words, you speak nothing and pass by in a whirl.

I reply with a twirl and my world goes into swirling.

The beauty of the raga and the jewels and the pearls,

My Indian silk, how you paint with your movements.

Smooth and rhythmic with the hips to the music,

My elegant silk, how could I resist?

My Indian raga from the hips to the lips.

Phillip,
I really love the feeling this short poem gives me and especially the ending, from the hips to the lips - so swishy and nice!

Oh la la! I love the musicality of this, so polished with a sensuality all its own. Nice to meet you, Phillip!
