Where Does One Go When Everything is Taken From Them?

Where Does One Go When Everything is Taken From Them?

A Story by Aventicus
"

The title explains itself.

"
Where does one go when everything is taken from them? Do
they go to the cold metal machine of fire wrapped in an old and
ragged cloth, hidden deep within the desk to taste it's quick and
ending freedom? Or they go to the bottle of relief high upon
the shelves of the bathroom cabinet, which contains the capsules
of healing in the intent to abuse them for a far more vile purpose?
Or do they go to the sharpened blade stowed away in the kitchen
desiring to stain it with their own blood, wishing to be freed
through great pain? Or do they visit in secret the distributors hidden
from the law and within the broken areas of the district, which offer
the temporal bliss, for which they shall have an unending and
painfully nagging craving for? Or do they attend sessions with a
psychiatrist who attempts to offer the medicines for the mind in
order to appease the demons lurking within the soul of them, yet
fail to do so, since the doctor cannot truly find them in their
darkness? Or do they search desperately for comfort in friends or
family and yet find none, being unwilling to voice their plight,

believing that none of them could ever truly
empathize with them? Or do they look for solace in the world of
digital entertainment, delving ever deeper into the pleasures of
gaming, media, and pornography it has to offer, never content to
stop for a second? Or do do they search for those who are willing
to give their flesh to them for the sake of their pleasure, yet even

after every instance it is never enough? The answer to this

question of where does one go when everything is taken from them

is all of the above, and each are forever unsatisfactory.

This is relatable to so many people. Even though you said it doesn't apply to you maybe not now but it just might in the future because we all get to that point sometime in our lives. Sadly so many people go to those things which only give temporary relief nothing giving them what they really need. We all search for a way to release the pain even though not all of them are healthy. You did an amazing job writing this piece. Touching and thought provoking. Great job keep it up. I hope you have a good day

To me this is about the fear of death and all the things a human being tries to deny his mortality and to manage his terror of the end. Forever unsatisfactory indeed.

Well done.

It could be translated as that.
By the way, I am not depressed. This was just an example.
