truth in your words here - man is but an expresson of life and within the folds of the universal blanket we shall forver progress - otherwise what - become fetid in a swamp with no life? we are born to fantasize for thats where the dreams are made to come true no?

The universe has yet to be in our grasp, but does serve a great purpose by humbling the hearts of mankind, but as well encouraging us to keep moving, saying that there is still so much beauty for us too see. It is an open invitation for man to fulfill his destiny and take to the stars to make his mark on a universe that beckons him. Fantasy is a drive, but it is also a hindrance. It can encourage man to work for the seemingly impossible milestones, but it can also make him desperate for an impossible illusion. The latter is what I speak of in this poem.

Why do you think we limit ourselves if there are so many possibilities of limitlessness?

In any case you don't have to believe or disbelieve ... Just be :-)
I think this piece flows well with a consistent tone. It's a big-picture poem, dealing with universals, that manages to also focus in on enough specifics to hold our attention. Some solid truths here, nice work.
(Thanks for your review 6 months ago. I haven't been on here in a while, apologies!)
Great poem, revealing both the limits of the physical world and also the limitless of the world anyone can create. It inspires a certain amount of imagination and creativity to live by in general day to day lives, even though most ignore what they once cherished as children. It is wonderful.
The human species is the only species that aspires for something more than survival. To break the shackles of monotony and fly unbounded into the sky. The Mind of a man has no limitations, it keeps fantasizing, stretching, testing the limits. If in the process, he creates an illusion that gives him joy, then so be it. That's what makes us special children of the Universe.
A poem much appreciated for the brilliant insight into human nature.
To fantasize ...to escape into a world created by oneself....and to know that you are it's master..
It's a very beautiful poem... Let's you know that beyond thus difficult world there is one you can create by yourself
To fantasize... to pedestalize... to create places in our own mind that fleetingly exist...
it's really all crap.
hope isn't- the expressions outside our heads isn't... the existence of these folly fantasies to become real is when we incorporate them in our relationships.
Unless we just keep them in our heads to just fool ourselves with this artificial happiness.
Flesh out the importance of our dreaming-
Create these fantastical worlds with others-
Or we just wallow in the verse.

The other part is that man will become cynical and withdrawn when, in the course of this piece of wisdom: All men desire to be involved, but none are willing to put forth the effort to do so. It is in this action that he then despises those he cannot be with due to his ironic mindset and thus resorts to impossible fantasy, hardening his heart further whenever he thinks back to those he could not dwell amongst.
Hmm....re-reading this one... you know the cool thing about artificial happiness? It can lead to this magical word called "acceptance", and acceptance is the secret key to unlocking the door to the authentic, real deal.. ;)

It takes a very long time to explain in full and it requires that you have someone very knowledgeable about the book, as in a professor or something like that who has thoroughly studied it, guiding you through it as you read it. Originally it was on scrolls and in Greek, since it was Plato who wrote it. All ten books are a dialogue between Socrates and several others in his company. The Allegory of the Cave, one of the most famous parts of the Republic, is found in book 7.
