(My) Tetrapharmakos

(My) Tetrapharmakos

A Poem by C. Michael Kirre
"

Tetrapharmakos is a poem by the greek philosopher Epicurus (c. 300 BC) who wrote it as a four part remedy (hence the title) to live the happiest life possible. I made one for myself.

"

Forget the Future

Let go of your Past

Lower your shoulders

Breathe

Author's Note

C. Michael Kirre
A few important notes: The first line is a quote from "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coelho, and the last line is the last spoken word from the movie "It's Kind of a Funny Story" written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The two lines in the middle might have come from me. Probably.
