Tuesday Morning Poetry #1

A Poem by C. Michael Kirre

I once spent a thousand years creating a statue
with nothing but a wooden spoon
I spent a millunnium carving its delicate features
from marble and hard rock
When I finally had completed my work
I stood back to admire my creation
When a sudden question appeared in my mind
Part question, part realization
Is this me?

I liked the sense of - I really do want to say, "OH Shyt!" - that I can picture running behind the sculptor's eyes. You set the stage well.
