Everyone Else is Robots

Everyone Else is Robots

A Poem by Phil Roland
"

I'm onto you. ALL of you.

"
I wonder if everyone else in the world
is in truth a robot
created to keep me from going
through life alone.
And when the pretty lady
with the sun-bleached hair
and easy smile
riding past me on her bicycle
turns the corner
and returns to the factory
who recharges her batteries?

I wonder why Narcissus did not see
his beauty diminish
as he starved.

You could well be right but are you sure that you are not a robot too?
