autumn II

autumn II

A Poem by Phibby Venable

the wind blew Autumn's dresses thin
a multitude of breathless whims
whirled through the sky in somesaults
leapt branches in high jumps and vaults
some trembled from the higher limbs
then fell in patchwork on the ground

This is an interesting take on autumn foliage. One that I've never heard before. A good one, for sure.
