The Thing About A Dream Come True

a small poem

 

It lived so long and lay so bright
appealing as I searched to where,
and when and how I might achieve
the birth of its entirety
And now it lives, it has come true
My hopes & wants have all come home
And yet, some part of me belies,
and broods for the unrealized
What sort of fickle heart is this
to have the dream and yet to miss
and grow nostalgic for the time
when longing, hope, and fancy climbed.
