ocean womanA Poem by Phibby VenableSail is the whiteness in her wavering heart
Her hair a topaz that the sun adores aglow in highlights, knighted mellowed gold her roots sink deeply in her darkened soul Whoever likes may ride her high or deep
The birds swoop to her lips and eat their fill
A brilliant rush of shells glide through her hair She hides Atlantis, secret, buried low She is enraptured with the color blue,
blue green, turquoise, blues of metaled gray She visits as the tides turn her to move and exits with a crash and brassy wave © 2011 Phibby VenableReviews
