This read so nice to me,i read this many times, your words so elusive, maybe I will have to come again
Will you stay or not..I am so tired for sure, sprinkled all kindness I could Any gladiator I welcome you to bring in..escape maybe where I stay I am grounded to my bench, did i say ,i am so gentle if left alone have some rules ,yet nothing carved in stones but tired now if you leave me be I wont dispute..Incentive ready ,murmurings demure Can hear a squeak on the stairs hear your decisions felt so much things behind those words..lovely words lovely write Posted 15 Years Ago |
Good God woman, you can write circles around most of us!!
The creak in the stairs line, oh how powerful and utterly unique. The homing device in the kitchen, even more unique and more powerful!! "They" always find a way back, don't they? Whether it be men we should probably leave alone or thoughts we should discourage from bombarding our minds or adult children who can't seem to get it together or ways of behaving/living that no longer work or.... Highly relatable on many levels. I love your work. Have not read anything of yours that was not excellent. :-) Posted 15 Years Ago |
There is not a single word that I could add that those below me have not already said. Excellence...just pure excellence in this piece.

Superb warnings to the other with intentions that are not yours, obviously. Stunningly good.

I've seen 'em like you afore... wild things, pretending to be one of us...hiding is that human skin. You must think you can't be recognized. But, I have to say, it's mighty sportin' of you to give them quiet warnings. I haven't made up my mind if I'm leaving or not, but I'll try to keep it on the quiet side. Say, you're not feeling romantic or anything, are you?

Heartbreaking and haunting, knowing look at how, when our center no longer holds and our forever assumptions no longer have a basis, we hesitantly, bumpily try to re-orient and re-invent ourselves as we move on (whether we want to or no.) The understatement of the piece simply adds to its power. It is as big as a house, big as the universe.
