The Night The Man in the Moon Disappeared

Woman of the moon, where is your man?
Lady of lunar with your bright eyes,
search the worlds, search the stars
kick a milk can, move a plow,
tackle a bear, and shoot archer arrows,
for the man in the moon has drifted too far,
the small baby stars twinkle & stare
Blood girl, take a look there,
beyond the black hole,
cast your light in the umbra
rage, rage at the shadow
All your craters brim tearful
your cows halt in suspension
this loss has your heart,
it has your attention!
Big girl, full blown, with a need & a wish
hurl curses at lovers, give them a cold shoulder
get in touch with the sun, tell her all your troubles.
With both of you searching, both the night
and the day
That scandalous Moon Man will be caught
in his cups
Then you may bed down & force him to stay up!
