Star FlightA Poem by Phibby Venable
Star Flight
The smooth black space of the sky sparkling stars in miniature & design Did you see my star fall in Nepal - a burst of light in blue celebration My eyes have written you a watchful letter I am listening to ebony & starlight There is nothing to worry about but you fret the words and wonder if I know the seriousness of things I do. I am a person who swallows the moon My heart beats in uppercase prompts and rises in the majesty of storms I hold my breath in listening to the magnitude of insignificance and I dance - It seems the thing to do My eyes so enamored with stars My spirit breaking omnipotent with flight through the naked trees that try in vain to border my life © 2012 Phibby VenableReviews
