It is morning & the mutiny of dawn swirls darkened clouds in a dullness of light The sun has hidden in reprisal stance a taken for granted feel against the sky It is fine here, though, unstirred and coldly calm, slower than my breath that turns to fog The black shadows of limbs stand stoic stiff I have no expectations of the sun
I know the trifling cruelty of the sky, its unintentionally pompous, tiring way of thinking everything will just obey I know it calmly plans to have its way The sun can see she has no chance with rage The earth propels her forcefully to day and if she rises with damp, tearful eyes It fails to make a difference with the sky
And above us only sky. But what a shout of a sky. This fits in all its myriad angles and places. Such a besutiful write. Such beautiful, strong thoughts.
You poem is excellent! Truly a luxury to read! I read recently of a tsunami sized solar flare on the opposite side of the sun facing away from earth....scientists revealed that had such an event been on this side of the sun it would have crippled the power grid of the entire earth. In other words, back to the stone age...no electricity...no computers...no radio...no television...think of the impact to banking alone! The world's economic infrastructure would be devastated! And no telephones or cell phones or radios to call police, fire or emergency...crime would quickly run rampant as soon as the criminals found out they had that extra time for a clean getaway...that is scary stuff! The tsunami happened less than a month ago. Don't underestimate the power of the sun.
