twisted

twisted

A Poem by P-lesh
"

a black child sharing the pain that comes with colour and a black society

"
my story is too long to be longed for.
What I see in my reflection
is a different perception
and this matter of perception
turns into a matter of deception
and now everything in my life
feels like fifty questions!

what the world sees in me,
is not who I am.
I am not an open book
I am not that girl
for what I know I am just like one of you
with my own identity.

I've been distracted by ambition
Insulted by my courage
and Defeated by my courage
surrounded with rejection
left with no direction.

I am a black child with a "hungry stomach"
a brain that lacks knowledge
a black soul with a twisted heart

Poetry is such a special form of art, this is a good one. The 2nd stanza is my favorite because it is the most relatable for myself. I enjoyed this piece, keep up the good work!!
