Tangible

Tangible

A Chapter by Solst Rapture
"

For someone who has permission from everything to float like a flowers petal, but never permitted to loose herself. Inspired by Emily Burns and written for her.

"

Inspired by Intangible, written by Emily Burns.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, but a name you shall be given

whatever the solemn wind hollers
The glory of our lives is like that

of the yellow flower,
sings as loudly as the piano.

When I close my eyes

and hear the voice of Frédéric Chopin rise,
although I do not know him,
I love him and I begin to dance
like everything that walks, flies, and sees
A glory so large
I am the world.

The subtle differences
the rhythm deepeing
pressing harder and harder,
sometimes taking the perfect time to soften the tone
Iin a waltz
up to our eyes in the madness of life,
spinning and jiving

loving and smiling

keeping our serious side

out of our lives

passing a cursory glance

as we glide

across the world,
laughing and cheering at our glory.

Without words, I would not exist
exactly as I do.

Something resembling you is heard, loudly
a myriad of your being,
will someone like you would ever fall

Words or no words.
The spirit is too strong to be defeated
when accompanied by so much desire.

we only know your voice
and through your words,
we are something.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" Loafe with me on the grass, loose the stop from
         your throat,
Not words, not music or rhyme I want—not cus-
tom or lecture, not even the best,
Only the lull I like, the hum of your valved voice."

Walt Whitman.

I always find so much in the words you leave as a review. (I often find my best poems in the reaction I leave at somebody else's words myself) That was an old one. It got lonely and I brought it out to play. Sometimes re-visiting words makes them sweeter.

Thank you for your words. You inspire me. So many of my writings lead directly to you.
