Tickle

Tickle

A Poem by Ashes
"

Green eyeliner was the best thing for love in the world

"

The last sunset taught us  that green and black eyeliner
wasn't meant for playing X's and O's on sun soaked arms
but you kissed me anyway
teeth clashing
and hair getting caught like we were
blushing virgins

You whispered that
you missed having pink to always catch your eye
when the nights were to cold
and we weren't just meant to be
for the time at least

That night we agreed the stars could never shine again
because we drew tic-tac-toe on our shoes
and the city smugness had left
for one night to show
there was a world beyond what was seen

(Your hair tickled my ear as you said...)

Ashes
Aww...aren't I just lovey dovey and shiz? Ok not actually, but I like this, and I'm pretty sure my inspiration for it was a combination of insomnia and Our Lady Peace. I think at least.

I enjoyed this. My favourite lines "for one night to show, there was a world beyond what was seen"......
It has a kind of teenage first kiss feel about it, and i feel the smiles and connection between the two characters...
only small concern was spelling of to cold....(too) but i liked this!
