Step one

Step one

A Poem by Ashes
"

We may all have to very well end soon

"

You sit there
sipping green tea
and counting the numbers
of reality

400 calories
and fourteen years
screaming away
echoing grief
like a bad montage

Life falls down
now
with candy sweet smiles
spiders teeth
and bitter, truthful lies

It can only be seen
how far this will go
darkness collapses
fade to sunset beaches

Author's Note

Ashes
Random stuff:

The fourteen years reference is how long I've been self-injuring (well actually I've been doing that for 15 years, but that didn't go very well with the above line XD). I'm somewhere around 4-6 months self-injury free right now, so woot!

Also this is a new, more free style for me so any comments would be at least slightly helpful, if to do nothing more than make me feel a little better about butchering a style of poetry. And yes I do know spiders don't have teeth, it's symbolism people!
