Killed breath

Killed breath

A Poem by Ashes
"

Is family supposed to be like this?

"

Would it kill you to breathe
and understand
that things aren't so
black and white
or violet and gold

Sometimes
this is us
with no one to blame
but that's ok
it's just square one again
you'll say later
when tears and blood stain the carpet

And this time
here's where we exit
one of us leaves
the other stays
but who really cares?
Would it have killed you to breathe
