This is her, and this is them, so say hello.

Allow me to introduce
her
and you
as we
just for tonight

She's a little shy
with scars on her knuckles.
You're apathetic
with a bleeding ego
while we just don't know
how to let such things go

The scene's not set
but when was it ever?

Take the offered hand
and hope the smile's not fake
as the night begins

This was a really neat piece. I liked the sense of reality, the comments about scenes never truly being set and the detail of the scarred knuckles - the randomocity makes this piece incredibly compelling.

It's a very interesting piece, but I'm not really sure what its about. Domestic violence? I like the scarred knuckles part. :)
