It's hard to tell

It's hard to tell

A Poem by Ashes
"

Slight explanation of being otherkin

"

I can't tell you why I'm like this
wingless with wings
with songs in my heart
this world will never hear

I really can't know
why your home isn't mine
but I still hear it scream
as you kill it

You don't understand
it's not really expected
you're different
so am I
we know
though you're a little less strange

There's more to learn
but not much left to do
let's go home

Author's Note

Ashes
Just something I wrote after trying to explain my being otherkin to a crystal "child" (dude's actually 40 and is part of the first wave here on earth, but whatever) I was talking to.

This is really good! I love the first lines:

"I can't tell you why I'm like this
wingless with wings
with songs in my heart
this world will never hear"

Brilliant and beautiful!
