Snowy solstice

Snowy solstice

A Poem by Ashes
"

It was a snowy solstice night

"

Spinning in the circle center,

open your arms wide child

to welcome the goddess

amongst your candle lit grove.

Let the flames signal the gods rebirth

in to the sky and lands,

and your center circle little one.

The energies flow from toes, to fingertips,

to the sky above

where it falls back down like the soft snow.

Dropping down on fluttering lashes,

glowing brilliant silver in golden sun rays.

The sun peaks above the mountain tops,

the candles flames flicker out

extinguished by the winds of dawn-

the goddess’ fingertips?-

So close your circle small one,

return it all to the earth and sky

lest you catch cold

on the merry solstice day.
