Pretty wings

Pretty wings

A Poem by Ashes

I love you.
Whispered with the hot breath rolling over a tender ear
and white feathers spread.
I know.
Whispered back to either the ghost or reality
pressing warmly against cool skin
and black wings rustle

Silence
as the warmth of the moon
stops before it hits the earths children

Warm breath
the first thing noticed,
wondering fingers
the second,
a hitch in breath
and whispered lovers secrets
the third thing noticed.

Blankets rustling
pillows pushed out of the way
giggling and laughing
(aren’t they the same thing?)
than…nothing

Clouds cover the moon
breaths even out
and the windows left open
allowing sakura scented air
to escape in to the winter world

Two bodies
curled and tangled and fully dressed
under a cheap blanket
with no need for hearts and frills
of pretty love.

Ashes
I blame listening to too much Dashboard Confessional. >_>
