Goblin

Goblin

A Poem by Pharos
"

be wary to offend such creatures...

"
Goblin
by. Pharos

Scattered across foreboding mountains,
and deepest caverns of old.
Dwells a mischievous and greedy creature,
Awaiting for opportunities to unfold.

A trickster by trade,
A troublemaker by nature.
Selling its services for alms,
And a servant to many masters.

Be wary to offend such creatures,
for they fuel their own short tempers.
And might they plan, to dip their cap
to your blood soaked sweater.

I love how creepy this was, and yet kinda whimsical. Another great piece, and you always seem to find such good words.

I really like this poem! I'm pleased with the bouncy and flowing lines and it tells a great little story. Well done!

Really enjoyed this poem, it is elegant but also a little scary. I imagined the goblin as someone to be feared. Are they truly a troublemaker by nature or are they just surviving by doing the evil bidding of others?
