Familiar

Familiar

A Poem by Reign
"

Suppressed feelings of long ago...

"
No Dreams, No Goals
just going with the flow,
Darkened eyes, hazel eyes
A red glow that radiates long ago.

Walking down a long pave road,
Noisy chatters, vehicles passing.
A gray painted fantasy, deceiving
and blurring the truth from reality.

Walking pass the blank faces of
people I'll never know. Looking down
the gray pavements of this old run down
town's historic structure.

Unnoticed, Unfazed...
To only notice, that something was missing.
Checking empty pockets, searching the premises,
Going back and forth to whence I came.

Alas,

Something else caught this dead beat eyes,
A pretty little face all wrapped in fancy clothes.
A silky long hair with a radiating smile,
Passes the thing that I have been searching long.

"I believe this is yours?"

Breaking an unwanted smile, ever grateful
Taking the thing I lost, and showing my gratitude.
She smiled, and waved goodbye,
As my eyes deceives me once more...

Suppressed feelings of long ago,
A precious friend, a precious memory.
Plays once more, haunts once more,
As a long forgotten image of her, reanimates
behind the girl who helped me.

With a heavy sigh, and a heart broken smile,
We both passed one another, Never to meet again.
For you were just a familiar face, and will never be the same
person who I once knew, that who will never come back again.
