Dead Slumber

Dead Slumber

A Poem by Pharos
"

eternal rest...

"

He stopped dreaming
when she was buried
in the cold ground.

So he stopped living
and had a long slumber
hoping to see her again.

Years passed when
he woke up from the cold
season of snow storms.

But she was still not around
so he decided to go on a long
journey in search for answers.

Though not long, he was stabbed
by the world. Slowly he crawled back
and lay with lifeless eyes.

" Finally... "

Tears fell on his eyes as a fading
white figure touched his broken and
rotting soul.

Once again he went back to sleep
as the rain poured lightly,
he smiled and dream't once again.
