Lullaby, Goodnight

Delusional and hopeful

with a heart of regret.

plays the most pleasant 

melody of the night.

she hums him a gentle

lullaby while caressing 

his scars...

he fell asleep in her arms

while she kissed him goodnight.

" Goodnight, sleep tight

don't let the bed bugs bite.

don't cry... don't weep 

rest those weary eyes.

I'll always be here, 

and always loving you

so go to sleep... go to sleep

I'll be in your dreams. "
