A Thousand Years of Love

A Thousand Years of Love

A Thousand Years Of Love

That day

I watched you disappear

Taking my heart with you

But I still keep my memories

Of the way you smiled

Your quirky laugh

And the face you made when you was mad

And even when you knew about me

You continued to care

Holding me tenderly in your arms

You shed a tear

Feeling the pain that I felt

You almost tore my heart in two

When you asked to share my burden

But I couldn't do such a thing

Yet I felt satisfied by your pouted face

And then the day came

The first time I ever cried

Your body cold

Your soul departed

And now I leave in search of you

Even if it's for a thousand years
