Admitting my WeaknessA Poem by ElisaA piece to vent
I'm not strong enough to hold you up
To listen to everything wrong with you Or your day Or your life I'm not strong enough to be there When every day's "not your day". I don't have a white horse I have to run on foot I am no longer strong enough To slay your monsters for you For every head I chop off You scream at two more I'm not strong enough to carry you When you won't take another step Maybe I'm more selfish now I'm truly sorry for that What weakens me the most Is all the years we've shared. That won't let me leave you behind That won't let me move on That won't let me finish this poem Because you've fallen yet again. © 2015 ElisaAuthor's Note
