MissingA Poem by ElisaInspiration after a period of silence
I'll be honest,
I haven't felt a poem coming on in a while. And I mean really FEELING a poem, a product of spilling forth emotion A soul cleanse, to put it plainly. They became obligatory, a chore with a constant pressure to pump out words like a cow pumps out milk. But now I'm back here, one year later looking out over the shimmering black waves crowned with the whitest moon imaginable. This is the second time I've sat on this rock, wishing he were here, writing a poem to keep my heart from missing him. I can only control words now, words spoken with pen, not lips. But hey, after all this pain, and all this time, at least I get a poem out of it. © 2015 ElisaAuthor's Note
