Midnight HarborA Poem by ElisaInspired by a trip to The PikeA towering wheel of shimmering lights Past a cobblestone string of loud music halls Surrounded by waves crowned in white froth And a sparkling expanse of ebony waters Beside them, a jungle of blackened green brush as they walk down a pathway made silver by moonlight. Standing before them, a tower ever-changing Sifting through shades of its heart - burning bright. Here they sit, on the rocks admidst the sand as the swirling salty air coats her dark curls. Here they sit, till the sun greets the bay hoping tomorrow will leave them in peace.
